~Making a face at being called silly. Nayiah's head tilted to the right side somewhat. As if she were a cat or a dog not getting what her master said. Though she certainly wasn't neither. She didn't think she was being silly. Though she wouldn't tell Jae that. Nodding silently in response to his words. Nayiah smiled hearing his laughter. She believed his lie.
Though hearing Jae's words, she blinked as she listened to him. Making a face she shook her head at him. Though she didn't say anything. She knew she hadn't dreamed it all up. But if Jae didn't want to believe she had seen it. She wouldn't press on about it, for his sake. Sighing, Nayiah gently rubbed the back of her left ear. Scratching behind it,trying to get rid of an annoying itch.
Nayiah hadn't meant mentioning about witnessing him change. Especially chancing anyone being able to hear it. Hoping Jae wasn't upset at her for it, she watched him walk out. Returning his goodbye was more weaker.
Loneliness filled the room, and in Nayiah's very being. Fighting the tears, Nayiah sat in bed. As if staring off in space. If anyone was trying to talk to her. Whether it was one of the healers or anyone else in the room. It would fall to unheard ears. Nayiah's thoughts were deep, and she wasn't paying attention to anything else.
Feeling somewhat ashamed of herself, she hoped she hadn't offended Jae. For now though, Nayiah hoped he would be safe. Hoping Sarylin and Jae both were. By the time she knew no one was watching her, as she made haste.
Sneaking out the window into the night. Her first response was to go to the Inn. Though Nayiah found out Jae had left. Feeling a bit disappointed, Nayiah decided it was best she left the village too. Not wanting to remember the previous events. Especially about that nobleman who had almost killed her.
Shivering with dread, Nayiah tried to focus on something else. Something more pleasant. The sound of frogs and toads croaked and and made sounds. Throughout the night. The sound of grasshoppers made their sounds, it almost reminded Nayiah of harmonized music being played. Nature styled. Nayiah didn't know much about werewolves. She wouldn't think about the full moon being a few nights away. Walking in silence, her eyes almost shined in the darkness.
Almost like how cats eyes tended to do. Nayiah was thankful she was able to see somewhat well in the darkness. Since she had managed a lot of sleep. Her good hand gently touched the injured one. Though it was wrapped up, Nayiah still felt cautious over it. Wanting to make sure, she didn't over do anything. Nayiah walked with caution. Some sounds made her stiffen as she thought it was someone out to get her, when realization came. Making Nayiah remember, no one would anymore.
That the only one who had wanted her harmed or dead. Was dead himself. So were his men. She had nothing to worry about. At least she convinced herself that. Boredom seemed to creep on her. The loneliness eating away at her very soul. The sound of a toad croaked making her smile, an idea forming in her head.
Slowly hunching downwards as she tried being silent. As possible as Nayiah could, she waited for that right moment. When it came, she pounced. Hands going to grab the toad as it covered around it carefully. Ears twitching at the sound of the toad croaking inside her closed hands. Though her upper arm stung still from the injury she ignored it. Biting on her lip to help not think about it, or so she tried. Nayiah would hold the toad inside her hands as she slowly stood up. Holding the toad, so he couldn't escape. Nayiah gave it a pearl white smile. Her eyes warmed at it. Perhaps this toad would do for the time being. For company to help ease the loneliness in her heart. Gently nuzzling it, the toad tried to move away to freedom. Even though she held him well.
Giggling happily at no longer being alone during her travels. Nayiah pondered on what to name him. Oak eyes lighting up after a decision came to thought.~
“Oh Froggy, we'll have great adventures together. I can't wait to introduce you to Sarylin and Jae. One day I'll see my friends again. And you'll get to meet them. But for now we'll have fun hanging out and spending quality time together. Right?”
~Nayiah said happily. The toad blinked croaking as it continued to try to escape from her grasp. Continuing walking, Nayiah smiled content with her catch.~

During the night he had failed in his determination of staying awake all night, falling to sleep as nature's lullaby had lulled him to sleep nestled against the rough bark of the tree. His breathing coming quietly as he slept leaning up against the trunk. The sound of her voice when she had made the small cry above his head almost woke him up, but wouldn't quite manage to do so. However, the sound of his name being said by her would do the trick.
Groggily creaking his eyes open, he'd lift his slender hand to his eyes to rub the sleep away so he could see clearly, his pointed ears twitching as he heard her feet hitting the ground and moving to stand in front of him and look downwards at him. Once he'd cleared his eyes he would blink up at the lovely vision above him as the morning sun sat just right illuminate her hair and put a shine to her eyes from his viewpoint. His mind got lost in studying her, at least until he heard her question, blinking.
"Nayiah?" He echoed the neko's name before shaking his mind straight, smiling up to her a little, "Oh, she's probably still in the city, resting. The healer's said she was going to be fine and just needed to sleep." Jae relayed the information to her, staying where he was. Although as she asked how he had found her, he would realize he didn't have a good excuse for that.
"I, uh," Jaelyn tried to think quickly, but unable to come up with anything that was sound in logic he would shrug and just give the next best thing, "I found you? What do you mean? You're the one standing over me this morning, I'd say you found me." He chuckled and shook his head, feeling like a royal jerk for lying and trying to turn it around on her. His aquamarine eyes staying to her face, he'd be careful about not showing any tells. "I just decided to sleep against the tree for the night." Stretching out his arms, he'd give a wide yawn before moving and lifting himself to his feet, before swinging his upper half back and forth slightly to work out the kinks in his back.

How he stared at her made her raise an eyebrow. Her ears listened to his words and how nonchalant he was being about saying that Nayiah was in the city still. She didn’t have to know the man to know that was utter crap.
Bending down to sit on her heels, Sarylin picked at the tall grass. “You just left.” She shrugged slightly, “Just like that… I thought you said in the inn that you didn’t have anything to go rushing after so…” her eyes narrowed to him, “So I find you here in the morning, telling me that I found you. A man I just met a couple days ago.” She rolled her tongue, “I find that too perfect.” She gave a flick of her wrist.
“Not the bit about you just finding some tree to sleep under when clearly,” she made a gesture to his pack, “You are prepared for camping that you decided not to at least cover up yourself with a blanket, and yet lo and behold you are sitting neatly as a peach beneath the tree I chose.” Sarylin let out a nosily disgruntle groan, “I may not know you from a hole in the ground, but I know enough to know you are lying. Sure you play the part perfectly in the face. Your eyes are steel, your mouth moves without strain to your words, but its too perfect. The truth is never that neat and tidy.”
Sarylin began to fret over the idea that Nayiah was lost inside the city. “What happened? Did Nayiah say something to you that you didn’t like, so you left? Or…” her eyes narrowed on him further, “Is there something else you are hiding? I don’t want to pry, but I know when the circumstances are this well laid out before me, that something is wrong. You knew I was here Jaelyn, how? Do you have experience tracking like a huntsman? I mean you are a noble or were a noble, so you must have went hunting once in a while.” She gave him an easy alibi without meaning too. “But… I wanted to make sure Nayiah was alright too, that’s why I thought you would stay with her Jaelyn. I mean I am not anything of importance, I can’t save her with just little circus tricks and I have responsibilities in back home.” She began to ramble as she sat down fully on the grass. “Is she alright?”

~She honestly didn't know the length of time that she spent walking. Glancing down at her worn out footwear. Nayiah shook her head. She knew the worn out sandals she wore on her feet, needed to be discarded. But sadly she couldn't afford buying a new pair. There was no way she could handle walking in bare feet either.
Making a bored expression, Nayiah sighed. Pondering what she could honestly do for entertainment during her travels. Her stomach growled hungrily. Thankful she was alone, otherwise Nayiah would've been rather embarrassed. She didn't need anyone to hear it. Wondering what she could find to eat. Before she even realized it, Froggy was in her mouth. Her eyes widened horrified.
Had she just put the toad in her mouth, and tried to eat him? Indeed she had. Pulling the toad out of her mouth, she gently wiped her saliva off of him. Giving the toad an apologetic look. Nayiah felt horrible at what she had done to the poor thing.~
“Froggy I'm so sorry. I don't know what became of me. Though that wasn't any excuse. Can you ever forgive me, for trying to eat you?”
~Looking at her little friend, covered in warts. Nayiah's oak brown eyes widened as her head tilted. Wondering why the toad was shaking. Hearing it make sudden noises, that wasn't like a toad at all. It shook almost violently as if it were about to explode.~
“Froggy!!!”
~Nayiah said rather frightened and worried for her little toad friend. Before she knew it, the toad hopped out of her hand landing on the ground. Suddenly changing its form, a confused look formed on Nayiah's face. The toad had become something else. Blinking in shock, Nayiah wondered how was that possible? Before her eyes stood a half naked man.
Before Nayiah could say anything he looked at her and ran. Somehow Nayiah had helped break the man's curse. Without a mere thank you. Ears drooping sadly at once again being left alone.~
“Bye my little now big friend.”
~Nayiah whispered quietly. Sighing Nayiah brushed a few strands of hair from her face. Continuing walking until Nayiah couldn't anymore, she would come across an area where she felt was safe enough to lay down for a short nap.
Curling up, eyes closed as she laid down to rest. A soft yawn escaped her throat as her tongue stretched out. Retracting back inside, the sound of slowed breathing would be heard. For the first time Nayiah slept soundly.~

He would let her speak without interrupting her and would simply watch the way that she moved as she did so. As she would mention however that he played his part perfectly and that he showed no tells, he would let a smile curl his lips gently as he would consider her, lifting his brow at her.
"I didn't know that you liked to look that closely at me," Jaelyn would say teasingly to her, smirking with just a little bit of his noble arrogance showing through. However he was not saying it just to tease her, although that was a part of it. He was also saying it in order to make her a little bit uncomfortable in order to get her to stop looking so closely at him.
"Alright," Jae would go in another direction as he gave a bit of a nervous laugh, "You got me." He was most definitely glad that she had given him the excuse about tracking and being a hunter because he had absolutely no idea what to say until those words left her mouth. "I used to do a lot of hunting so I do have some skill tracking and I just got a little bit lucky, coming across your tracks and everything." He would shrug again now that he was entirely stretched out.
"I promise Nayiah is alright though," Because as far as he knew, she was, Jaelyn would definitely not be lying then. Watching her sit down on the grass, he would sigh and sat down in front of her, his brightly colored eyes looking to her softly. "I decided it was best for me to leave town until things calm down at least. You know how she had mistaken the werewolf for me?" Remembering that she had told him that Nayiah had called the werewolf his name he put two and two together while remembering also that Nayiah had also announced him out in the healers centre.
"Well," He rubbed the back of his neck with a heavy sigh, "when I was visiting her in the healers center, she announced out loud to everyone that she thought I was the werewolf. And I had a feeling that I should duck out of town for now just in case they decide to believe the mistake she made." Jae shrugged his shoulders lightly and shook his head. "I'm not mad at her, but it really puts me in a tough spot."
Finishing with his explanation, he would watch Sarylin then, hoping that it was more to her liking for the truth.

Sarylin gaze turned heated at him with his arrogance peaking through. “You can just wish buddy, I just know nobles well enough. You lie through your teeth like you are breathing air.” She retorted back to him, not even remotely enjoying the teasing. Sarlyin gave him a snort with a callous look, “You think you’re worth looking at that closely, then you got a pretty big ego.”
Sarylin would turn her nose away from him as he spoke about her catching him in the lie and how he used to track when he was a noble. That she could believe, though in her current mind frame she thought he was being rather snotty, but she kept the other comments to herself. Once a noble, always a noble.
Her ears flicked but her face didn’t turn back to look at him when he mentioned Nayiah and how the neko woman blurted out the stupidity of her words. Proclaiming that Jaelyn was a werewolf was a good way to get the man killed, be it accident or not. With all that happened, no one would think twice when they hung Jae for falsities. “I suppose you are right about that. I think she hit her head when she went down to from that noble striking her.” she muttered before she stood up, her back facing Jaelyn.
“Well now that you have officially stalked me, don’t you think it would be wise to keep moving? You never know who is following you and personally it would look bad if you are seen with me. Two is a crowd.” Sarylin stated, as she let her eyes wander before her taking in the scene of the forest. “Don’t want us risking one another.”
She stopped briefly, “When I get to the next town, I will send a letter to Nayiah in the castle town in hopes she is alright.” She would invite the woman to come to the ice kingdom to the bethel she worked in. At least there she would have a home and warm food.
She gave Jaelyn a wave, “Please be careful Jaelyn. You might have a bounty on your head now.”

~She hadn't meant to oversleep. What was intended for a short nap, apparently turned out to be a longer slumber. Then she had planned. Slowly sitting up, Nayiah arched her back, trying to adjust herself. Once she felt satisfied, she would gently rub the sleep from out of her eyes with her good hand. Yawning tiredly, Nayiah glanced around. Trying to get her bearings. It was no longer dark anymore. Which made Nayiah more comfortable. Sitting Nayiah pondered what direction to go now. Turning her head she glanced in the direction she had came from. Then turned her head slowly glancing in the opposite direction. A finger crept into her mouth, as she contemplated on what to honestly do. Retracting the finger, as her tongue lightly licked her lips. Trying to get moisture on them. Nayiah would glance around, convinced she had heard water running. Quickly standing up, Nayiah followed the sound of a small waterfall that flowed gently into a river. Beautiful plants surrounded the waterfall and river, almost like a tropical paradise. Nayiah rushed to the edge of the river. Kneeling down on to her knee's, cupping her hands. Scooping up water, she leaned in towards her hands. Slowly drinking the water. A smile crept on her face in delight. The amazing feeling of feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Just by drinking enough water that she needed for the time being. After finishing, Nayiah splashed her face once with water. Trying to cool herself down. Gently wiping her face with her good arm, Nayiah stood up. Feeling ready to continue on. Though before she would leave, eyes fell on a berry bush. Walking over to it, she inspected the bush. Making sure it wasn't poisonous berries, a smile showed on her face. A thankful sigh escaping her throat realizing it was safe enough to eat. Gently picking the raspberries, Nayiah popped it into her mouth. Berry after berry, was like a sensational experience itself. A taste of heavenly delight. A soft delightful moan escaped her throat. After popping another berry into her mouth. Thankfully no one else was around to hear it. Otherwise Nayiah would've been embarrassed. Sadly if Sarylin would've sent a letter to the city, to offer Nayiah to come live with her. To have a home and food, Nayiah wasn't no longer in the city. Whether they sent a reply back or what. If Nayiah had known any of that, she wouldn't know what to say or think. No one had ever tried giving Nayiah anything that precious before. Guilt continued to plague Nayiah's mind. Wondering if the reason Jae left was because she had accidentally spoke a little too loud, she hadn't meant to. Nayiah felt horrible as it was about that. Even if Jae had denied it, Nayiah knew she hadn't dreamt that Jae had turned into a werewolf. But Nayiah felt horrible as it were, when she had told him she knew he was. When she should have waited when they were alone. She hadn't meant to cause him danger. Luckily before she had left, she hadn't heard anyone talking about it. As far as Nayiah knew, no one had overheard her. But still she felt horrible about it. Nayiah only hoped Jae had forgiven her. Even if she never saw him again. Glancing down at her well worn out clothing, Nayiah sighed. She didn't think much of it, but it was all she had. She couldn't afford to feel ashamed about it or picky. It was amazing though how long it had lasted on her though.~

"Don't worry," Jaelyn pushed lightly, seeing that button being something to prod as much as he didn't want to, "Your not the first one to find me attractive enough to take a second look." He smirked some more, and yet hated himself just that much more. Although Jaelyn was confident in his appearance, neither was he as truly arrogant as he was purposely appearing to be. He knew then that at least his wish to make her not look too closely worked, and he couldn't help but feel disappointed even though that was the point he had been trying to reach.
"The poor girl must have," Jae said agreeing with her, feeling his guts twist in his stomach at having to continue perpetrating a lie to such a kind woman. Watching her get to her feet, he would sigh softly, climbing to his own. As she mentioned him stalking her he would give his shoulders a shrug. "Sorry, I just thought if I was going to be sleeping in the area anyways, that I'd make sure you'd be alright. I meant to be gone by now anyways." He turned his eyes away from her, letting his black hair fall in a curtain between her and him so even if she did look at him she wouldn't see the pain that showed in his eyes. "And your right, two is a crowd. You'd probably just slow me down anyways and I definitely don't need that." He would almost make himself sick with the words and the sneering tone he let enter his voice. Even before his exile he hadn't ever spoken as he did to her.
Lifting up his pack and slinging it over his shoulder he'd shift it to shove his hand down into the bag, curling his long fingers around the bundle of food and coin that Elzy had left him. Taking it out he would toss it at her feet before he started to walk, lifting his hand to give a dismissive wave to her. "If you want, it's your coin to waste after all." Jae gave a slightly derisive laugh, tinged with with bitterness.
"Don't waste your time worrying about me, I know how to forage," He spoke with a slight twist to his words, hoping to make her think he was mocking her. Keeping his back to her, the man felt so disgusted with himself, but kept his shoulders up and straight, his head proud and tall, as he continued walking down the road. Stretching out his long legged stride then, Jaelyn sped up his movements and began to walk quickly, moving down the road wiht what seemed like purpose, although he certainly had none of that...

Sarylin made a disgusted sound in her throat when he spoke about her thinking he was attractive. “Hey you know you can come off your high horse any time,” Sarylin spat back at him. She made a false over exaggerated bow, “Lord Jaelyn.” She furrowed her brow deeply.
Hearing everything he had said about sleeping there the near where she took up a residence and how he was trying to protect her, Sarylin should have know she was being baited. But she went for it anyways. Fist clenched at her side, she couldn’t believe her ears. “You snobbish jerk! How dare you speak to anyone like that when you are no better than me. Actually at least I haven’t been exiled, but hey keep living in your diluted world lord Jaelyn, it is certainly proving how much of a real man you are.” She huffed a angry scoff, her arms crossing over her chest and turning away from him. “Slow you down, please.” She murmured.
Though hearing the coin purse tossed to her feet, she turned slightly to look at it. Blinking some she wasn’t honestly sure at first what to do but then he spoke. Hot flourish anger ripped through her, how could he be so rude. She thought he was different and yet… here he was acting like he was better than the king himself.
Stooping down to pick up the purse she bounced it a couple times in her hand, “I don’t want help!” she threw the purse right back at him, “Especially from you. I’d much rather crawl into a hole and die before I let you help. How about you take your coin and shove it where the sun, don’t shine! And don’t worry, I won’t think twice about you again lord Jaelyn. I only wish the best for my friends, you prick.”
Sarylin watched him for a moment, skewed her mouth to stick her tongue out at him then walked in the opposite direction of him. She knew nobles were rude, but for him to play out that he didn’t think her and Nayiah were beneath him and then doing this. Yeah she should’ve known.
Crossing her arms over her chest, Sarylin worked her jaw back and forth just playing the scene over and over in her head. She thought Jaelyn was –key word – a actual gentleman, but it was apparent he wasn’t.
“Man Nayiah I think he did the best thing for you. Now you don’t have to acknowledge him being a royal prick.” She muttered out loud to herself. She felt better knowing that the last nice thing Jaelyn did was leave Nayiah. There was no reason for the neko girl to experience such brash words and an over cocky attitude. And to think… she actually thought Jaelyn was attractive. Goes to show that beauty really was only skin deep and underneath was a nasty golem like man.
She worked her way out to the dirt roadway as she was steaming over the entire incident with Jaelyn. Soles of her feet pressed up onto the shoulder of the road, as she began to head with the bends and curve of the man made passage. After all that, she felt bitter and enraged to the fact that she almost brought down her guard about a noble man.
Once a noble always a noble; she reminded herself again.
She honestly thought she would have better luck with the werewolf than Jaelyn. At least the wolf showed mercy, something that was apparently not familiar with Jaelyn.
“I hope you are alright Nayiah.” She spoke softly.

~Sighing in content, Nayiah rubbed her stomach happily. She was full after eating a tremendously amount of berries. A happy smile on her face. Going back to the river, Nayiah rinsed her hands. As best as she could. Gently wiping them on the bottom of her worn out dress. As she didn't have anything else to use. Nayiah continued walking. It never really bothered her before, meeting Sarylin and Jae. But now that she had, it was hard travelling alone again. If Nayiah had known how Jae was treating Sarylin, she would have been shocked beyond disbelief. She would have been crushed with disappointment. Heartbroken.
Thankfully, Nayiah didn't know about that. It spared her from feeling any of that for the time being. She found herself wondering what Sarylin was doing right then. Walking in silence, Nayiah missed her friend a lot. Though she would be distracted from that briefly, as she felt another annoying itch on behind her ears. Bringing up both hands to scratch behind them she sighed in relief. Happy to be rid of such an annoying problem. Nayiah was able to think again about something besides her ears being itchy. Though the sound of horses galloping along the pathway that resembled somewhat of a road. Could be heard.
Nayiah glanced in the direction she had come from. Deciding to move out of the way. As she didn't want to be run over. Shuddering at such thoughts, Nayiah was thankful as she watched the waggon pass by her. Though the chestnut bay was absolutely lovely. Nayiah wasn't exactly a horse lover. But she did find them beautiful. The beautiful color of the horses fur, would've inspired her. Even though Nayiah wasn't a talented artist or anything like that.
She wasn't anything of talent. She was just simple Nayiah. Though Nayiah had no problem being that. It was all she knew how to honestly be. A hand outstretched as she lightly rubbed her brow. Looking as if she were deep in thought. Even though she wasn't. She just found it rather soothing to do at the moment. Her mind wondered yet again, filled with envy. Wondering what it was like to have somewhere to call home. To be accepted by others, to have friends. Getting to see them more often. Sighing softly, Nayiah lost track of time. She didn't know how long she had been walking since the time she had last drank water or ate. Even though she wasn't hungry yet or thirsty thankfully. If it was starting to get dark again, Nayiah wasn't paying attention.~
“Sarylin.”
~Nayiah whispered quietly to herself. Speaking her friends name as if she were speaking to her friend right then. Or telling Sarylin a quiet little secret. Even though she wasn't speaking to anyone.~
“Hope you have a safe journey home. Stay safe.”
~Nayiah said quietly to herself. If It was a full moon during the night whenever it came. Nayiah wouldn't think twice about it being the night for werewolves. If Nayiah knew full moons made werewolves more powerful, she would've been beyond fright. She would fear for her very life.~

For the most part as Sarylin was going off on him and ripping into him up one side and down the other, as he knew that he deserved for saying such terrble things, he would act as if he was ignoring her, continuing to walk. Although he'd actually stop when she threw the food and coin back at him reaching out and snatching it from the air before it had the chance to hit him. Tucking it away as he didn't want to waste the food that Elzy had made since she wasn't going to eat it, he continued after, still without facing her.
"Starve for all I care," Jaelyn called back, almost choking on his words, "Just make sure not to die in the middle of the road, don't need more trash getting in the way." Even before he'd been exiled he would have been disgusted with someone acting like he was, and possibly even told him off. But it really was for the best... wasn't it? It was better to hurt her now emotionally then it was to hurt her physically... He just had to keep reminding himself of that as he walked away, moving as quickly as he could without actually breaking out into a full run.
Once he was out of sight of the elven woman, Jaelyn would finally come to a stop as he leaned up against a large tree, and rested his head against the trunk for a moment. His heart was hurting as it beat quickly in his chest, hating so much what he had said and done. Straightening up he would clench his hand into a fist before striking out at the tree, slamming his knuckles into the bark with a deep growl. Even though it's rough skin scraped against his, he didn't really seem to notice as he held it there, clenching his eyes shut as he fought to keep control of himself. He could feel the beast sitting there, waiting, watching for the first moment that it could snap up and gain control of him. Every time he got emotional, he could feel it, and he couldn't let it win... Wasn't it enough that it came out full strength during the Full Moon?!
After he finally regained enough of his control to maintain composure he would take in a deep breath and continued forward, although as a thought occurred to him he would stop and turned slightly to look back the way he'd come. Jae chuckled lightly to himself as he shook his head, wondering when Sarylin would realize that by going in the exact opposite direction to put distance between herself and him, she was going straight back to where they had just left if she continued to follow the road....

Her face flushed deeply as he called her trash. Lips pursed tightly as she turned around, “At least I am not exiled trash!”
When he left her sights, she stopped as she took in the scenery. Okay this was just great, she was walking back towards the castle town and she knew it. But she couldn’t turn around, how stupid would she look now.
Slapping a hand to her forehead, Sarylin decided to step off the road and try to circle around so she could get back to the right direction. If she circled far enough then she should be able to come back out to the road and away from that bastard.
Sliding down the small ditch side into the bushes, Sarylin’s tapered ears drooped as she looked out towards the way Jaelyn walked. Did he really see her as trash? She didn’t want to admit it, but that was hard to hear. It had put her in her place. Crossing her arms over herself, she let out a sigh. She should have known better, Jaelyn was exactly like everyone else. He thought he was better than anyone else around him and made it very clear he didn’t see it any other way.
Shuffling herself through the bushes and back into the cloak of the forest, she was careful to keep her bearings as she popped out once in a while to see if she was still following the road. She was forever thankful Nayiah hadn’t been here, the idea that someone that had been kind to them both just did a three sixty was painful.
The day droned on making the air around her heat up only to make the sweat bead on her body.
When high noon came, Sarylin had sat herself beneath the shady shelter of a lumbering giant tree, close to the roadside in the correct direction as her knees were held up so she could rest her arms over top. She had always believed there was some sort of good in everyone, but with being alone with her thoughts, she was really beginning to think otherwise. She dwelled on how terrible Jaelyn behaved which just made her feel worse and worse with the passing minutes.
She felt sick to her stomach but that was most likely because she hadn’t eaten in the last day and a half, but her mouth was dry and bitter from her own heated words. Though she didn’t regret them, if he was going to be rude so was she. It wasn’t like he could do anything to her now, he was only playing noble now.
Dropping her forehead to the backs of her hands, Sarylin smacked her mouth as she decided to wait until the high noon hour was over. That way the air would lighten and dispel the heat but it did nothing for the heat in her body.
“Trash… just trash.” She muttered.

Although Jaelyn acted like he didn't care one bit about the words that had been said, the truth would be far from that. Her thrown words at his back, calling him exiled trash had hurt, but he would have to admit he deserved it. In fact he was a little surprised that she hadn't become violent considering how truly obnoxious he'd behaved in his goal to push her away from him.
Travelling on the road he continued to walk on steadily, not really stopping for anything as he would have no real reason to do so. And if he was going to make good time and keep himself far from civilization it he had to keep going. Although when high noon rolled around, Jaelyn could feel the heat beating down unbearably on him. In his long sleeved coat and black shirt and pants, he heated up quickly, sweat pouring down his forehead. As he lifted a hand and wiped away what he could, raking back his bangs from his face, he would decide it was best if he were to take a break and wait out the heat.
Stopping, he would look around, hoping not to see or even smell Sarylin, since she had to go the same way as him. But seeing that the road was still empty he would smile to himself and lightly and nodded. Good, his plan had worked out and she would be safe from him... Slumping down under the shade of a tree, he would try to rest, but his clothes were sticking to him and annoying him so with a grunt of frustration he would stand up. Deciding to use one of his abilities that he'd gained since being turned, even if he didn't like it he would sniff the air lightly until he caught the scent of running water. A grin appeared on his face then as he would turn and carefully picked his way off the road, moving towards it. In the least he could bathe while waiting out the heat...
Moving down to the banks of the steady flowing river he would be delighted to see it meandered gently and wasn't a fast moving one that could sweep him away. So placing down his pack under the shade of a tree, he'd then take off his jacket and folded it neatly on top of the pack, before stripping off his shirt. With those off, the signs of the attack that had cursed him could be seen. His right arm had bite marks in the upper half of his forearm, and his chest had three distinct scars that were still a bit pink across. Stripping his pants off next so he stood only in his underclothes, he didn't consider the possibility of anyone stumbling across him.
With his clothes and shoes off, he would go to the rivers edge again and dipped in a toe, only to chuckle at it's cold temperature. Taking in a deep breath, Jae would steel himself before he would jump into the cold waters, letting it go over his head before he broke the water with a joyous cry out loud. The cold at least was refreshing! Flipping his ebon hair back from his face as he came back up, Jae stood a short distance from shore, and a short way from his things under the tree.

Hand fanning her face, Sarylin groaned from the sticky heat of the day but she had to press on. Especially since she didn’t know exactly where Jaelyn was and she didn’t want to run into him. Again.
Moving along the road –the pebbles and rocks bouncing across from sticking to her bare feet- her ears were low as she continued to try and fan herself with little avail. The day was unbearable but there wasn’t much she could do about it. There was no use in complaining as no one would hear her nor did she want to listen to herself.
Though she found herself lifting her eyes up at the precise moment to feel her body steel in spot. They were at least a good twenty paces ahead of her but that didn’t mean they hadn’t noticed her in turn. Elves, males at that. They weren’t a common elf that much was apparent, but rather they were called plains land elves. Unlike an elf like her or even Jaelyn, these guys weren’t slender.
Swallowing some, the pitless black eyes were watching her as she wasn’t sure whether to run or not. There skin was kissed a deep bronze colour making the brightly colours tattoos stand out as in turn it made them appear broader in there shoulders. She could clearly state that they looked like warriors, strong, thick and frightening.
Tightening her hands into one another, Sarylin shuttered in her skin feeling the sudden cold dread ascend on her. She had never seen a plains land elf, but she heard enough stories to know they were classified as demons.
Sliding a foot backwards, she seen the elongated ears flick as they began to tread slowly towards her. Holding back a whimper, Sarylin didn’t blink or dare move an eye away from them in fear.
Long strides fell on her, as she cowered back from the pair of men standing in front of her. They didn’t take long to ascend on her, but they didn’t attack like she thought. They looked so unnatural and yet… they seemed completely docile.
It was there eyes that caught her attention. They were as black as pitch with the small firefly like irises floating within their skulls, but even she could tell they held intelligence. Slurred words came out of their mouths as they spoke to one another, hand gestures being made indication to her. What on earth was going on? Where they debating on how they were going to cook her – the thought struck her, they weren’t cannibals… were they?
She was like a transfixed doe sitting in the grass, afraid but not sure whether to bolt or play dead.
Hands reached out to her, as finally the deep shriek ripped through her throat.

Jaelyn had been enjoying his frolicking in the river in peace, even with his thoughts not far away about how he must have hurt Sarylin and his problems with being a werewolf. But he was doing his best to enjoy it either way. That would be until he heard the high pitched shriek that echoed from the road, his sensitive ears picking it up as they twitched. Blinking he turned his head towards that way, dread sinking into his stomach.
"It couldn't be... could it?" Jaelyn muttered to himself, worry clouding his bright eyes. At first he would try to convince himself that it was better if he didn't go. It would be nothing... Just someone scared or something. However, he wouldn't be able to succeed at convincing himself, as he would swear under his breath. Using his strength to paddle quickly he made his way to the shore, splashing water everywhere as he pulled himself up and ran for his clothing. Diving into his pack he wouldn't bother to put on any of his clothing, since he had no idea if he had time to do so, just pulling out the single dagger he carried with him. Drawing it from it's sheath he would then run towards the road, his bare feet flinging dirt behind him as he moved as quickly as he could.
Stopping behind a tree beside the road, just in case it was something that he wasn't needed for he peeked out from behind it to look upon the scene. His eyes widened as he saw the men that he saw there, and as his eyes landed on Sarylin. Dammit why did she have to go and get herself into trouble?! Could he not get rid of her? Letting out a bit of growl he readied himself, knowing he was probably being foolish.
Jumping out from behind the tree, Jaelyn brandished his dagger and did his best to look fierce, pulling himself up to his full 6 foot height. Of course he didn't know how effective it would be considering his long hair would be matted down with water, dripping to hit the dirt around him and he was clad only in his underclothes. "Let her go!" Jae demanded, pointing to Sarylin.

His voice ripped through her mind, making her and the pair of large elves turn to look at the laughable sight. Instantly she clamped a hand over her mouth trying not to laugh, but the snickers still came through.
Craning his head, the first plains elf pointed a thick finger at the vision of Jaelyn. “Now what an odd sight to see, do you always try to play hero in your skivvies?”
The second elf clapped her hard on the back, making her stumble forward a bit before glancing back with a slight giggle. “Eh, what is up with the bloke here?” the elf asked her as she shrugged.
“Your guess is as good as mine.” Sarylin glared at Jaelyn. “This is the guy I was just telling you two about, that was saying I was guna slow him down and therefore ditched me in the wilds.” She stressed it all making Jaelyn look like the bad guy.
The pair of large males glanced at one another before turning to look at the soaked image of Jaelyn. “Didn’t your mama teach you how to behave with a being of the opposite sex?” the dark haired man asked first, this was the one that clapped his hand to her moments ago.
The men looked at one another again, speaking this time in there native tongue before glancing to her, then to Jaelyn. They nodded and she felt the hands of them both giving her a push forward. “Come now Sarylin, we will be more than happy to escort you to the town up ahead, seeing as you have been treated so poorly before.”
Sarylin looked smug to Jaelyn as she instantly pressed the back of her hand to her forehead. “Oh thank you, thank goodness you two came along. I was so afraid when that spider dropped on me that made me scream.” She began to milk it as she lied about the truth of her scream. “I was so scared.” She pouted her bottom lip, “He felt me all alone out here, no food, no water and he…” she sniffled slightly to make the false tears spread to make her eyes glossy. “He called me trash too.”
It was funny to see, two large aggressive looking men both huddling towards her, hushing her softly as they were falling right into her trap.
“Come now Sarylin,” the dark haired man spoke as he ushered her forward. “You won’t have to worry about him anymore. Auson and I will take care of you.”
A hand fell to her chest as she shyly looked to the side, “Oh I couldn’t possibly let you do that.” Her voice soft and seductive.
The one called Auson looked to the dark haired man, “We must, it is on our honor.”
Letting a sly eye spread to Jaelyn she smiled sinisterly at him. “It is so nice to fine such noble men to come and save me. A poor starving damsel in distress.”
Looking back to Jaelyn, Auson gave him a wave of a hand. “You are dismissed. We will handle the young lady.”
The dark haired man clicked his tongue, “Such poor manners.”
Auson nodded, “And people think we are the barbarians.”
Having both men step around her, Sarylin stuck her tongue out to Jaelyn, “Ta ta Jaelyn.”

Seeing that she was in fact not in distress and that she was telling these strangers about him, only her side of course it seemed, he would go completely red before he sheathed the dagger and held it at his side. Lifting a hand he would brush back his long hair out of his face as his piercing aqua eyes found Sarylin and narrowed into a glare. Even as the others spoke to him, his gaze wouldn't leave the freckled face of the woman that had made him twisted up inside.
"-I- ditched you?" Jaelyn growled the words out. He was fine with having her hate him, but having her going around and lying about him was another thing. Even the good natured man that he was had enough pride to not take that lying down. "You're the one who wanted me to get lost because you didn't want to be seen with me, for your own safety. So I gave you, your wish." Scoffing at her milking their pity for her, Jae couldn't believe he'd thought she was kind.
"I tried to give you the only food that I had on me," He didn't even care if he was in front of a group of male elves in his underclothes anymore, he felt that hurt. "But like an ungrateful harpy you threw it at me. I'm just glad I was able to catch the food that Elzy spent the time making so it won't go to waste." Jae would mention Elzy as he started to turn away from them, stopping to throw another glare over his shoulder, wondering if she was even capable of feeling guilt.
"Yes, that's right. You won't have to ever worry about this 'exile trash' as you so eloquently put it Sarylin, bothering you ever again," Jae stated coldly, his fingers tightening around the dagger's sheath. It was strange, he was feeling enough anger to trigger the change but it wasn't happening... He would have wondered more about it if he wasn't hurting too much to care. "Watch out for that one boys. She doesn't know the meaning of loyalty and will turn on you the first moment you become inconvenient." He spoke out of hurt, not meaning a word he said. But she had just trampled over his precious little bit of pride he had left, right after he'd been berating himself for what he'd done to her.
Without another word, he would disappear into the brush on the side of the road, the sound of leaves and sticks being pushed aside as he made his way further away from the road. As soon as he was clear of the brush he would growl to himself, clenching his teeth. Muttering about the ungrateful harpy as he head back to his things. Mostly dried off now he was in no mood to go splashing about in the river again so would take his time getting dressed, giving them plenty of time to get ahead of him.
Yes... it was for the best.

Sarylin looked aghast at him when he spoke about the food. “You were the jackass that tossed it at me first! What did you say, uh I think it was; don’t waste your time worrying about me. I know how to forage” she spat back to him. He was the one that had started all this, treating her like she was nothing more than an ant under his shoe.
Letting out a annoyed growl, she pursed her lips tightly. “You know what Jaelyn, I was wrong about you too. You told me and Nayiah you didn’t treat anyone like that even when you were a noble and yet you did! You started it and you were the on being the biggest known ass of a lifetime! I thought you cared but you don’t. Screw your pride, because you know what. You need a heart to have pride.” She screamed at him making both of the men look over the pair.
“And stupid me for believing you. You are cruel, heartless noble! You are no better than that bastard that tried to kill Nayiah.” Tears stung at her eyes, this time actually real. Her voice died down as she wiped her palm against her face. “Despicable. You are nothing but disgusting and to think… to think I thought better of you. Damn you nobles, damn you all!” she clung a hand to her necklace, “My father always taught me to think better of people, and I thought that of you. But you proved me wrong… I am sorry for all I say but you know what at least I am being truthful. So go, run away. Be a jerk. I hope you are happy with yourself.”
She turned to follow the men, her mind jumbled up in the heat of the moment as she finally did regret her words to Jaelyn.
The accompanying pair of men spoke softly to her as they lead her into the town around the next bend of the road. But even with the company of the pair, she was in the wallows. She wanted nothing more than to disappear but that wasn’t going to happen.
“You idiot.” She muttered beneath her breath.

Jae would simply shrug his shoulders at her talking about the food, not looking back as he was moving, "Whatever Sarylin. Have fun spreading lies about how truly heartless I am," He lifted a hand and gave a dismissive wave, his voice tired even as she screamed at him. Speaking his parting words he couldn't look at her again, his heart aching. He'd barely known her, yet this hurt much more then he thought it would.
As he pulled his shirt back on over at the tree where he'd left his things he couldn't get her out of his head. Why did she have to be so infuriarting? Why couldn't he just forget about Sarylin and Nayiah now that he'd met them? Now it seemed he was twice cursed. Lycanthropy and caring about two people that being around he could just be a danger too. Clenching his hand together he shook his head.
Once he was fully dressed he would throw his pack over his shoulder and made his way back to the road, carefully peering out from behind the trees to make sure that Sarylin and her new friends were long gone. Seeing that they were, he'd heave a relieved sigh and began to trudge along the road again. Deciding that some food right then would hit the spot he dug into his bag and pulled out one of the sandwiches that Elzy had packed and started to eat at it even as he continued along. He wished there was another place to go to, but the village ahead was the only one except for the one he'd just left. Hopefully he wouldn't run into Sarylin again, but if he did he fully intended on just acting as if he'd never met her. Probably piss her off even more, but hey, it wasn't like she could hate him much more anyways.
Once he got to the gates of the village he would look down the street that stretched out in front of him, noting as people moved about their days, completely unaware of anything outside of their little world for now he'd shake his head. Wishing he had even that much of choice. Sighing, he started down the street, lifting his eyes to look for the inn or better yet, the tavern. Tonight... he was going to drink and forget for just a little while...

Arcten – the second fellow that had been with Auson – had decided to stick around as she felt rather grateful for the company. She felt ill to her stomach for everything she had done to Jaelyn. She was taught far better than that and yet… she did it.
She had been escorted to the quaint inn as she followed slowly behind Arcten, her mind sorrowed. She figured though she might as well actually use the coin she had received from the crown for something as she still wore the stained clothing. Being far more of a gentlemen than she thought, Arcten had lead her down to a merchant shop for some far more simple clothing.
And that was it, the fellow said he would be having dinner at the inn if she wished to join him. She might as well, seeing as she had nothing else to do now. She had to leave Nayiah and now Jaelyn had turned into some jerky monster.
It took a bit of time but eventually she did find some clothing that suited her better. No longer did she stick out in a crowd as a messenger but she blended in. She hoped.
She still wore the bright red bandana around her bicep and the necklace from her father, but otherwise it was nothing more than a back lace up corset that sat over her breasts to make a mock crop top. The once leather pants were now light tan canvas pants –light and breezy- as she pinned back her hair with two large eagle feathers. She left her feet bare as she enjoyed the freedom.
Paying the man for the clothing, she decided on counting the coins before making a choice whether she should purchase a horse or a pack. Either way, she would need both. Walking in a slow saunter back to the inn, Sarylin sat outside on the couple of kegs of ale not feeling overly excited to enter again. She needed some time she guessed to reflect on what a utter moron she had been.

~Silence fell, as Nayiah continued walking on foot. Luckily no turmoil had fallen on her. Thankful that she remained safe so far. Nayiah's oak brown eyes glanced around passing tree after tree. Boredom rose like a volcano erupting. If Nayiah knew that Sarylin and Jaelyn were near one another, she would have been happy. If she had known that they weren't getting along however, she would have been crushed to see such a disaster befalling her friends. Thankfully she wasn't there to see it.
“I wonder when things will get interesting again...”
~Nayiah muttered quietly to herself. She would be alone in her thoughts by the time another sound would catch her as attention. Glancing behind herself, spotting another wagon approaching in the distance. Pondering to herself whether she should take the chance to sneak on. Hoping if she decided to do that, that she wouldn't be caught. Hoping they were heading to a nearby town. If she knew there wasn't one for awhile and that walking on foot would take her much longer to get there. She wouldn't have hesitated to sneak on the waggon.
Hiding behind a nearby tree, luck would be on Nayiah's side. Watching the middle class man making his draft horse come to a complete stop. Nayiah watched as the man inspected the horses shoe. Not wasting time, Nayiah moved as quickly as she possibly could. Climbing onto the back of the waggon, falling onto stacked hay. A exhausted sigh escaped her throat. Eyes closing, a smile crept on her face as she felt the movement of the waggon lurching forward once again. Thankful that she hadn't been found out. Nayiah figured a little nap wouldn't hurt her. Tucking her head over her hands, she fell asleep.
“Luckily it was just some dirt wedged into Galient's hooves.”
~The man said quietly to his wife. Holding the reins he looked at his wife as he watched her nodding in agreement. That would be the last sounds, Nayiah heard. By the time the waggon arrived in the town, Nayiah felt the waggon stop. Opening her eyes tiredly, she gently rubbed her eyes. Realizing she had overslept. Nayiah glanced around trying to get her bearings right to realize she had no idea where she was. Though once calming down, she realized she was in a town. Deciding it was best to get off the waggon before she was found out, she slipped off of it as fast as she could. Sneaking away she ran away as fast as she possibly could. Thankfully she wouldn't be found out.
By the time she had reached nearby the tavern, Nayiah entered inside it mistaking it for an inn. She had hoped she could afford to stay the night because she was tired. However she had accidentally entered the tavern not the inn. By the time she realized it, and was surrounded by a lot of drunks. Color drained from her face. Her ears drooped hoping that nothing would happen as she plotted her escape. Though sadly before she had a chance to sneak back outside of the tavern, she flinched as she felt someone running their hand up her backside. Hair standing straight up like how a cats did, her fur along her tail and ears would stand straight up after being startled.
Hearing the person speaking, it was obvious they were certainly drunk. Whether she was noticed by anyone she knew. Nayiah wanted desperately to desperately get out of this wretched place. The smell of alcohol made her nose wrinkle in disgust. She wasn't the drinking type. She never honestly cared about the smell of it. She had her reasons why she didn't care for it. She didn't remember her childhood. All she remembered was the smell of alcohol and nothing but disappointments. Sadly she couldn't remember anything else. Whether Nayiah had blocked the memories from her childhood or suffered memory loss from it. She had no idea. In a weird way, she was thankful she didn't remember it.~
“Hey!” ~Nayiah said in a frightened voice. Her body shivered as she was in an awful situation. Whimpering in fright, her eyes looked almost horrified. She didn't know how these drunks could get. But the fear was evident in her oak brown eyes. Though Nayiah doubted anyone smelling of alcohol and wasted would have honestly noticed much of anything.~
“Don't..”
~Nayiah whimpered frightened against her assailant. Though she spoke too quiet to be heard, she was frightened and there for it was like she had lost her voice. As if she had laryngitis. Or that her brain had shut down completely forgetting how to speak. Her hand went to try to remove the drunks hand from her, though sadly she only had one good arm. Whoever it was bothering her, Nayiah turned around. If it was someone she knew she would have gasped in shock. If it wasn't she was simply afraid.~

Jaelyn was going over his plans in his head, knowing that he had to be somewhat careful with his coin. At worst he was sure he could get himself drunk on whatever cheap ale they had at the local tavern, and perhaps also afford a room. Pursing his lips together thinly he would shake his head at himself. First he should pay for a room and THEN go drink. That way he could leave his things behind in the room and not lose them if he did get drunk and do something stupid.
Sighing heavily he would comb his fingers through his hair again, pushing back his bangs as he stopped in the middle of the street and considered his options. Yes, room first, then go get drunk off his ass to try and forget the two women that had complicated his life when he had needed it least of all.
Closing in on the inn, his eyes were on the ground as he was absorbed in his thoughts, his hair hanging around his face. However, he would be distracted from them at what happened next. Maybe he would have seen the man approaching had he had his head lifted to watch, but because he didn't he would be startled, jumping back as someone's shoulder slammed into his. Frowning as he whirled around to stare after the man who wouldn't even have apologized, he would miss the fact that Sarylin sat in front of the inn.
"Hey!" Jae yelled out as a surge of anger coursed through him as he felt for his coin purse to find that it was not where it should have been. "Get back here thief!" Even though he knew the man wouldn't stop, he couldn't help but roar out his words before he would dash after him. The anger of course wasn't good for him keeping down the Beast, but he would try not to let it out even as he forced himself to run as quickly as he could, his boots pounding again the dirt. Watching the thief turn a corner, he would be almost right behind him as he skid slightly to slow down just enough to make it around the corner.
Unfortunately it would seem that the man had been ready for him, perhaps having even planned this out... As he made it down the alleyway that the thief had turned, he would try to stop suddenly as he saw the plank of wood that was swung towards his head. However, he wouldn't have the chance to, as stars exploded behind his eyes along with the pain. With a soft cry of pain he collapsed to the ground, knocked unconcious by the man's well aimed swing.

Ears lifted as she peered across the street from where she sat watching the sudden rush of action coming from the tavern. Crossing her leg over the other, she gave a shake of her head. How silly was it that the men had to get plastered and then fight?
Sighing heavily her eyes watched how the two men bumped into one another, though she seen the first long haired man whip back around to chase after the second.
“Theif.” She muttered, that was a classic trick. Poor guy didn’t know what happened until it was too late. She felt sorry for him, but she stayed on the barrels of ale outside the inn she stayed at. She wasn’t stupid enough to stay at a tavern and that was the reason why. Well one of them.
She had breasts, they were men. Drunk stupid men. Yeah she wasn’t stupid.
Seeing the men disappear into the depths of the dark, Sarylin blinked as she scratched her neck lightly.
Well this night was proving ill, as she hopped off the barrels. She knew better than to go and help the man. It would end in a bad fashion and she was going to stay out of it. She grew up in this stuff, well grew up watching it. Sarylin said a silent pray for the men who disappeared and walked around to push open the door to the inn.
She had paid for her own room, but she decided to sit down at a table of her own and just sort of take in the far more quieter sense of the night. Arcten and Auson were no were in sight either, meaning she was officially alone again.
Sliding a chair out for herself, she dropped the purse to the table as she carefully took an eye around the room before laying the coins out.

~Nayiah waved her hands frantically as she tried to push the man away from attempting to grope her. Disgust held on her face as clear as water. Nayiah felt the bile rising in her throat. She felt like she was going to be sick to her stomach. How could drunk men be so disgusting and disrespectful. Nayiah had simply made a mistake. Accidentally mistaking the tavern for the inn. Wasn't her fault but it seemed like she was getting the short end of the stick on this one.~
“Stop it!”
~Nayiah said this time putting more meaning to it. Hissing in annoyance, Nayiah swatted the man's hand away from trying to grab her behind. Hearing the drunk laughing only made her more annoyed. How dare he! What a sick pervert! Nayiah contemplated on whether or not to strike him using her long sharp nails. She wasn't the violent type. Although this guy was certainly pushing his luck.~
“Come on pretty lady. You know you want to experience the magic of my hands all over that taut body!”
~The drunk said his words slurring as he laughed. Wrinkling her nose in disgust. Not only did the man make her want to harm him. She felt disgusted by this man. But to make matters worse, the guys breath smelled horrible too. Another guy would try to grope her thigh, which made her even more annoyed. Eyes glaring it wasn't like Nayiah to be so cruel. But she had every right to be in this case defensive.~
“Back off she's mine!”
~The guy who had first started groping her snarled at the other drunk. They would end up fighting one another for who would get to grope her. Watching their bags of coin fall from their reach, Nayiah felt guilty for what she was about to do. Not like those two perverts didn't deserve it. Grabbing both of their bags of coin she shoved it into her pockets as she ran outside before she was noticed gone. Hoping she wouldn't have to see either one of them again. As she ran she headed for the inn. Though what happened as she ran, she accidentally bumped into the thief who was clearly trying to make his escape. Thankfully he hadn't tried to steal her money though he continued running off as Nayiah noticed a bag of coins on the ground.
Leaning down she scooped them up. Shaking her head she had a feeling the guy had stolen them from someone else. Pitying the poor soul who had fallen victim to that. Nayiah shoved it into her pocket as she continued walking. Though Nayiah hadn't been prepared for what happened next. She would walk not really paying attention to the person who laid unconscious on the ground. Almost tripping, Nayiah flung her arms out catching herself. Stopping herself from falling she glanced down and gasped. To her horror she stared at the man who had been attacked. What made it worse was she knew the man. Dropping to her knees Nayiah examined Jae. Worry filling her eyes.~
“Jaelyn!”
~Her voice held concern. If he didn't respond she pleaded for someone to help her carry him inside the inn. Knowing full well after her attempt at trying to drag him there hadn't worked. Although if he had opened his eyes to the sound of his name being said, she wouldn't have asked for help in bringing him inside the inn just yet. Worry filled her eyes. Looking at Jae, she studied him with great care. Hoping no serious damage was done to him.~
“What happened Jae?” ~Nayiah asked concerned for him. If he told her, Nayiah pulled out a bag of coins and handed it to him. Explaining she had accidentally ran into the thief and he had dropped it. She was too embarrassed to explain her situation at the tavern. Shivering she looked somewhat disturbed and her oak brown eyes looked somewhat haunted. Glancing behind her she hoped those men wouldn't notice she was gone as well as their money or else she would be in big trouble.~

Jaelyn would be laying on the ground on the ground unconcious when he was found, his eyes closed and head turned to the side so the mark caused by the wooden plank was very plain to see. A big bruise was already starting to form and across his forehead he was cut open, blood seeping slightly from the wound. He was still breathing well at least so it wouldn't be hard to tell he was physically fine for the most part besides his head. And at first he would not respond to her.
However before she was able to try and start dragging him, his eyes fluttered open with a thick groan as conciousness started to return to him. His head throbbed and as he came to he realized that he lay in the dirt in a dark back alley. Blinking he would narrow his eyes slightly as he saw a familiar face coming into focus. "Nayiah?" He croaked, bringing his hand up to his aching cranium, "What happened? Last I remember, there was this guy who stole my coin and I gave chase..." Piecing together events in his mind he would slowly remember what had happened, realizing that the bastard had clocked him across the head. "Dammit," He murmured, before the thought that his fingers were touching something warm and wet filtered through from touching his wound. Wincing he would bring his fingers into his view, his aquamarine orbs widening as he saw the crimson color covering his fingertips. Even worse... his fingertips looked nothing like they should, with claws having formed.
Forgetting entirely about the woman that was there for the moment, his eyes went to the sky as he searched quickly for sign of the moon, just in time for a rather large cloud to reveal the silvery disc. Right then, his eyes widened again but this time they would also change at the same time. The moon was full and round as his eyes almost seemed to echo that, before his pupils dilated greatly to small pinpoints, as he seemed to become entranced with it's light.
That wouldn't last long however as he would suddenly clench his eyes shut at the same time as his teeth, and his body curled up on itself as a pained cry left him. His arms wrapping around his middle he ducked his head down, his ebony hair falling forward to cover his face. Right in front of her as she watched it would seem like his body began to swell and become hairier.
"Run Nayiah," Jae's voice rasped around the pain that coursed through his veins, it was like his blood was on fire. "Get away from me! Get far away!" He continued to try to tell her to get away from him. "GO!" The one word would be emphasized as it ripped from his throat, mingled with a beastial growl. And whether or not she left, his body continued to shift under the light, and before long in Jaelyn's place would be the 7 foot werewolf with ebony black fur and eyes of piercing aqua.
The werewolf would lift it's head to the moon and let out a long howl at the moon as if to announce it's presence. There was something different about the werewolf, even though it was clearly the same one as before that had saved her and Sarylin from the nobles. It seemed to have less reasoning behind it's eyes, the full moon bring out the Beast's instincts fully now. It's eyes would take in it's surroundings before falling to Nayiah, it's lips pulling back from it's teeth as a deep growl rumbled in it's throat. Nayiah was feline, and it was canine... Natural instinct would lead the rest as Jaelyn the werewolf would begin to advance on her, stalking her.
Hopefully for her sake, Nayiah would run as fast as she could from the lumbering beast, for it would give chase as she did. But if she didn't... she was going to be in a lot of trouble and Jae would never forgive himself for what the Beast would surely do.

“Well that settles it, I’ll have to buy a old horse and maybe I’ll have something left over for a meal.” She scooted the coin back into the purse as she sighed to her self.
Ears flicked as she locked eyes with the innkeeper. “What on earth was that?” the man shrugged as she raised an eyebrow.
“Sounds like the wolves are close to night, or coyotes.” The innkeeper responded as he cleaned and polished the long table. “I can never tell the difference.”
“That was a lot closer than just a pack,” she muttered. Restrapping the purse to her thigh, Sarylin pushed herself up from the table. What on earth was she doing? Why was she that curious to see where that noise came from. If she was smart, she would go to her room and get into bed shoving her head under the pillows and yet… she wasn’t.
“Be careful girl.” The innkeeper muttered as she pushed open the inn door.
The moon was high and bright making the entire village shine under the silver light. It was honestly beautiful as she took in a deep cleansing breath of night air. Her body shuddered as her head lulled lazily to the side, though instantly she froze still. She didn’t have to have perfect eyes with the way the moon was shining down to the village, the massive beast was clear as day.
There it was… the werewolf. It was evident it was the same one, the pelt colour was so strange that it told her it was the same beast from the castle town. What dumb ill luck she had.
Sarylin let out a low whine as she wanted nothing more than to run back into the inn, but found her feet unmoving. As if they planted themselves into the dirt like a tree.
Panic rose into her throat, as she could see the very vivid image of emerald hair and brown ears beneath the hulking figure. “Nayiah…” her mouth whispered. “Nayiah!” she cried far louder the second time, “Run you daft fool!” she screamed at her.

~Even though Jae hadn't woken just yet, as Nayiah noticed Jae was bleeding due to the wound. Concern hit her face hard. Dumping the coins into her pocket that she had taken from one of the drunks she tried to dab at Jae's wound to gently wipe the blood from his head. She would be trying to clean his wound as best as she could when she heard him making a sound. Glancing at Jae with concern. Hearing her name from his voice. Nayiah wiped a tear from her face, nodding in answer. Almost confirming to Jae that it truly was her.~
“Yes Jae, it's me.”
~Nayiah answered softly with worry evident in her oak brown eyes. If Jae noticed she held a worn out bag with blood on it. From trying to clean his head wound as best as she could. Hearing Jae asking her what happened, she shrugged shaking her head as she wasn't sure what had happened.~
“I don't know what happened...I was trying to get away from these two perverts in the tavern who tried groping me. Bloody pigs...they are...I ran for it, I accidentally ran into the thief and once he was gone I wanted to get to the inn as soon as possible. I hadn't realized until it was too late that I accidentally mistook the tavern for the inn. Sadly I wasn't really paying attention...I ummm...almost tripped over you, Jae. I noticed you then.”
~Nayiah tried to explain. She hadn't seen what had happened to him to cause such an injury. Nayiah spoke the honest truth. Her eyes looked at Jae worried, hearing sounds coming from behind them in a distance her eyes glanced behind her and she muttered something that wasn't easily understood. Damn those drunks! Why did they have to be heading their way so soon. When Nayiah glanced back to look at Jae, she gasped with worry as she noticed Jae's fingers. Knowing full well she never seen claws on him usually. Was he changing she wondered? She knew he was a werewolf but she hadn't even thought much about tonight being worse for him. As she never thought about the full moon at all.
Nayiah noticed Jae looking up at the full moon. Puzzled why he was doing that it would take her time to realize his eyes had completely changed. Worry filled her eyes as she pondered what to do. Watching Jae's body curl up as she heard his pain filled cry. A part of her wanted to reach out to him and comfort Jae, that was until she heard him telling her to run. She would move away from him not sure whether she should. But hearing him trying to get her to go. She stood up but sadly she wouldn't in time because fear gripped her hard. In a weird way she was afraid of what he would do to her or anyone else. But her worse fear was how Jae would feel when all of this was over that had caused her to hesitate at first.
Though the difference at first from before, when Jae had tried to protect her and Sarylin was, this time it wasn't like that at all. Glancing around assessing what would be the safest way to escape where werewolf Jae couldn't get her, before Jae had fully turned the two drunks had came closer yelling at her.~
“There's that whore who stole our money! Give us our money back wench!”
~Nayiah glance as she quickly went for the part of the inn's wall. Because she was a neko she was able to climb things no one else could. Or leap higher then the average person. Leaping up, Nayiah pulled herself up climbing up to safety as she pulled herself onto a higher balcony that was out of reach. She continued doing the same as she glanced down at the two drunk men who weren't running just yet. Her eyes widened as she couldn't believe the two fools.~
“Run you morons! Or else the werewolf will get you!”
~Nayiah tried to give them a warning. Though she had heard her name being called elsewhere which she noticed Sarylin then. Fear for her friend's safety concerned her greatly. If Jae was preoccupied with the two drunk men as they weren't exactly able to run fast considering how drunk they were, Nayiah went towards Sarylin as she wanted her friend back inside before it was too late. Intending to watch over Jae inside where it was safe. Nayiah wanted to return his coins to him when it was safe. Though she worried about what would happen to Jae. She had a feeling she was going to regret it all in the morning. If Jae had tried to get her, all her would manage to grab was a part of her dress accidentally ripping off a part of it that was bloody. ~
“Sarylin! Get back inside!”
~Nayiah said as she ran towards her along the roof top, leaping downwards she landed gracefully on her feet like any feline's were able to. Trying to ignore the fact she felt like a cat being chased by a dog with Jae awhile back. If Sarylin ran inside the inn, Nayiah followed suit shutting the door behind them. Praying and hoping Jae wouldn't come inside to harm anyone. Nayiah shook her head sadly seeing Jae's fate. Her heart ached for what Jae must have to go through all the time. She prayed no one else noticed Jae transforming. Worry about it wouldn't leave Nayiah's mind. Once inside, Nayiah glanced at Sarylin. Shaking her head sadly, Nayiah cried for Jae.~
“Oh Jae.”
~Nayiah whimpered his name softly. She wanted to let Jae know he wasn't alone in this but when he was like that. She couldn't help but not able to listen to him right away. Due to worry causing her to freeze on the spot. Though thankfully she had escaped in time. She worried Jae would think he had harmed her if he was ever to remember any of this later. Nayiah wouldn't have noticed the scratch along her leg from where a part of her dress had been ripped if Jae had tried to strike her when she had climbed out of the way. She wasn't sure about legends. But if Nayiah had known it was being bitten that caused another to become like Jae. Nayiah would've sighed in relief. Though once she did notice her scratch she looked a little worried. She didn't want Jae to blame himself for that either.
She peered out the window from time to time, but for the most part she stayed clear of it. Glancing to Sarylin she hadn't planned seeing Sarylin again like this. Sure she had hoped they would see one another again but nothing like this for a grand entrance.~

The sight of the drunken men and how promptly it seemed Nayiah moved, was startling. Though when the neko woman came crashing down near her, Sarlyin started a few steps from her. Finally being able to move again.
Though being told to go inside, Sarylin scowled at the cat woman. “No! You go inside, it is clear you are the damn problem to the werewolf, you go inside. You hide Nayiah because you need too.” Sarylin reached out to give the neko a stiff push, “There are too many people here that could get hurt, but if the dog wants you then you need to hide.”
It was clear she and the men weren't one the menu, but Nayiah. She could piece two and two together easily enough. Nayiah was a cat like humanoid and the wolf was still classification of a dog. The pair of them were bad together.
Sarylin was terrified but she had to think of something to get the beast out of town.
Her ears flicked as she glanced briefly to Nayiah, the girl already proved time and time again that she didn't listen to reason. Moving closer to the cat girl, Sarylin smiled sadly to her. “Forgive me Nayiah, but this is for your safety.”
She moved with agile and grace as she grabbed a hold of Nayiah's shoulder and spun her around. Striking out hard and swift, she hit the nerves and pressure points in her back. No one was immune to the touch of her. No one was immune but if she didnt hit the right spot, it didn't make the person lose control of there bodies long enough. Just like she had done to the noble who went after Nayiah.
But unlike that time, Sarylin hit the point straight on and true. Nayiah would be awake still, but any control of her body would be gone.
Sarylin caught the neko girl from falling limply forward from having lost all ability to move her limbs, legs or body in general. “You'll be safe Nayiah.” she drug her towards the inn as she gave a brunt backwards kick to the door; making the innkeeper jump sky high. “Take the girl and put her in the room i paid for, then stay inside!” Sarylin proclaimed. Without a word back to her, the innkeeper came around to take Nayiah into his grasp.
Whirling around on the heels of her feet, Sarylin pulled the wooden door closed to the inn. Sucking in a deep breath, she cursed herself for the stupidity she was about to do. But the people of the town needed to be safe.
Running towards the lumbering beast, Sarylin let out a soft call to the wolf in hopes that it would be attracted to her. She cursed herself for making Nayiah nothing more than a limp ragdoll – for the next couple hours- but she knew it was for the best. Especially after all the excitement she had already had. If Sarylin had known about the drunks hitting on her, then her stealing there coins and then somehow having the thief bump into her without him knowing he had dropped Jae's purse; Sarylin would have shook her head stating that for the once skittish neko to start playing hero would have been a very odd twist of events.
“Hey you...” what do you call a werewolf to be insulting, “Beast?” Sarylin waved her arms back and forth, “Come on, fast prey here!”

It would have been pointless for Nayiah to yell at the drunks as it only slowed her down because the werewolf completely ignored the both of them and continued to go straight for her. And the fact she jumped onto a balcony wouldn't really save her as the werewolf being part human as well as wolf meant it had opposable thumbs. Leaping up onto the balcony after she had, the beast would reach for her, snarling viciously as it ripped that part of her dress. And the fact his claws would catch her meant that the cut would be deep and bloody. In fact she would be very lucky in that his claws had just barely miss tearing through muscle. And luckily for her she would get away to the front of the Inn where Sarylin would be smart and put her out of the way.
Still trying to follow Nayiah of course the beast would leap off of the roof, dust rising above it's feet as it landed solidly, looking around in confusion when it noticed that Nayiah was not there. An irritated growl would rumble in it's throat as it began to sniff at the air and to follow the scent of what was it's prey. At least until a loud sound got it's attention. Black ears perking up, it's aqua eyes would go to Sarylin. Another growl rumbled as it turned it's attention to her and began to stalk towards her. This one did not smell as another animal...
If Sarylin didn't move Jaelyn the werewolf would simply stalk towards her and would investigate her by sniffing at her. But if she were to run, that would trigger the instinct to give chase to the thing that moved and he would give chase. Padded feet flinging up gravel and dirt as it leaped into action, running after her.

~Nayiah's eyes widened in shock, seeing werewolf Jae following her onto the roof. The sound of fabric shredding, although Nayiah hadn't notice part of her dress being torn nearly as much as wincing in pain. Feeling Jae attacking her leg, it would be a frightful sight. Bleeding Nayiah tried to get away from the werewolf. Realizing it really wasn't the sweet kind gentle Jae anymore. Sadness showing in those oak brown eyes, for how Jae wasn't able to be himself right now. Though she feared for her life at the moment more then anything else. Gritting her teeth, as Nayiah tried ignoring the pain in her leg. The wound was deep but she didn't have time to tend to it at the moment. Because if she tried to stop to tend to it, she would be a sitting duck, even though she certainly wasn't no duck.
Even though Nayiah had leaped off the roof, the sound of the werewolf was clear among her hearing. Though Nayiah noticed after hearing Sarylin's words that the werewolf had ignored the drunk men and anyone else as it's attention was clearly on herself. Sighing relieved Nayiah was glad no one else was it's main target. But clearly even if she did try to run for it for safety, she wouldn't have survived anyways what with her leg being injured. Worry filled her eyes as she wasn't sure if a scratch from a werewolf was really bad. Hoping it didn't mean what she suddenly feared was on her mind. She didn't want to be like Jae. She felt bad enough he had to go through that.
If Nayiah had startled Sarylin when she had leaped down not far from her, in front of the entrance to the inn. Nayiah hadn't meant to startle her friend. If Sarylin noticed Nayiah's injured leg, Nayiah was too busy worrying about what Jae would do to anyone else rather then her own injury for the time being. Though seeing Sarylin scowling at her, almost made her flinch, because Nayiah was use to being abused and it always started with scowling that lead to anger somehow. Hearing Sarylin's words. Nayiah couldn't seem to find her words as she nodded her head in agreement to Sarylin's words. She didn't argue with Sarylin on the fact that what Sarylin had said was simply all true. In a way Nayiah was thankful Jae was only focused on her and no one else but Nayiah feared on how long that would last.
Gulping she glanced behind her noticing Jaelyn coming towards them. Though hearing Sarylin apologizing to her would make her glance at her friend in confusion. Nayiah was about to ask her what she meant when Sarylin had to strike her hard, making Nayiah go limp. Confusion and fear crept on Nayiah's mind as she didn't understand why she couldn't move but she was awake. Even though it was to keep Nayiah safe, Nayiah worried about what would become of Sarylin. If Nayiah could talk she simply whimpered after hearing Sarylin's orders to the innkeeper. Feeling the man holding her as Nayiah painfully watched Sarylin leave. She would be dragged up the stairs to be put into Sarylin's room. Tears streaking her face. Since the fact Nayiah couldn't move yet, her mind prayed for Sarylin's safe return. Prayed for Jae's safety as a werewolf. Deciding this time, that there was no point in telling Sarylin that it was Jae. She had decided it was best not to simply because she wouldn't believe her even if Nayiah spoke the truth.
Nayiah couldn't help but feel utterly helpless as she laid on the bed in silence. The innkeeper had left Nayiah alone for the time being as he had gone to find something to help clean up her injured leg. The wound was deep and needed to be cleaned otherwise it would become infected. Nayiah simply had no choice but to wait his return. Hearing the door open to Sarylin's paid room, the innkeeper returned using alcohol to pour on Nayiah's leg. Wrinkling her nose in disgust she didn't agree to what he was using but kept quiet. Once he had cleaned her wound, he dabbed it with a clean soaked clothe. After he had cleaned up all the blood, he gently wrapped a bandage around her injury. Next time Jae saw Nayiah he would notice her newest injury. Nayiah thought bitterly. She hoped he wouldn't feel horrible about it. She already forgave him.~
