Azura was born to a small family and grew up only knowing her mother, and father because shortly after she came into the world they moved away from Germany, leaving behind all other family. This would be the first in a pattern that continued later on in life as they rarely lived in one place for long. So even though Azura was always a bright and cheerful girl she rarely ever had any friends due to how she never got the chance to really know anyone. This led to her being a little lonely growing up, but she could never do anything about it of course and just learned to cope with it. Her mother and father were both loving and so she didn't ever go without knowing she was cared about and since she had no one else to be close to she developed an attachment to them both.
Eventually her parents would settle down somewhere, a nice little town with pleasant people and Azura started being able to make friends and developing attachments to others either then her parents. Things were pleasant, a smart girl she had a bright future ahead of her and she was happy with the few good friends that she made. Sure of her life and secure in it, she was 13 years old when everything around her would be shattered. Early in the year, the girl would lose her best friend. The girl that she claimbed as a best friend had been going to school one day when a drunk driver ran her down... Azura was of course understandably very upset by this, and part of her blamed herself for the fact that she had broken the routine her and her friend had, had the day before. Instead of playing after school, Azura had gone straight home because she wasn't feeling well and hadn't had the chance to say good-bye to her that day.
Next would be their family pet, mauled by a rabid coyote during the night in the springtime. Being the one to find the poor animal's body, she was understandably disturbed by it to where she spent a day in her room crying and shut in. Once again, a routine had been broken the last time that she'd seen the precious pet and she placed more blame on herself this time. Normally she always let their pet in at night to let him sleep on her bed, but the night of it's death she called and they didn't come running. She felt it was her fault for not waiting longer or searching more.
Then the hardest thing to happen occurred, not even a week from her birthday in the summer. She had plans to go out swimming with some friends, and one of them even included a boy that she had a crush on. So excited by the prospect of seeing him, she had run out of the house without giving her parents the usual hugs and kisses that she always did. Spending the entire day out, she would return to a darkened home in the evening. Either then a few less lights being on, there was no outter signs to make her suspect what lay within. As she entered the house and went into family room, she would be greeted with a gruesome sight. Evidently a murderer was on the loose and unknown to any, the murderer had broken into her home to hide out and perhaps rob them, when her parents found him and foolishly tried to stop him. The end result was blood basically painting the walls, just spread everywhere. Perhaps the worst part of it was that the murderer hadn't left her home and as she entered the room, she was locked in the room. Although she wasn't killed, she was locked in a room with no way out, with the corpses of her parents and a room that had it's walls covered in blood. It didn't help the room had been decorated in shades of crimson, the furniture and carpet. By the time the police came to the home and found the 13 year old girl curled up in a corner of the room, she had been forced to spend 2 nights and a full day in that room.
From there, they tried to get her help, making her see counselling and such and placing her with families to help her try and regain confidence. However, she blamed herself for the series of deaths that happened to her and the final one seemed to snap something in her. Every time she broke a routine, it seemed that someone died.
Although families took her in and tried to help her they all eventually could no longer deal with her OCD habits. Once she developed a routine in each home she went to live, she would stick to it so religiously that if anyone ever even tried to disrupt it she would pretty much go psychotic, convinced that if she didn't start her daily routine over again that someone would die. It even got to the points that she had harmed herself and others on different occasions. It didn't help that after the trauma she suffered, she was incredibly fearful of the color red. Anything red would send her into fits of hysteria until removed. By the time she turned 16 the system could no longer place her and all of the new families and homes were not helping her establish a solid enough routine so she has been sent to Bedlam.
