This sword is particularily effective against the undead due to many blessings and magics enchanting it. Unbreakable and unable to be possessed. Absorbs the blood of the undead, causing the skulls to glow one by one as it feeds on enough. With each skull once it has absorbed enough blood it is able to be use waves of energy that incapacitate any undead in it's path for a few minutes. Each use of this drains the sword a little. If ever all 4 skulls become lit at the same time, she can use an explosive version of the waves to stun and cause minor injuries that only heal at a human rate of regeration, over a hundred foot radius. As well the sword can be transformed into a reaper's scythe to accomodate beheadings.

Various other small artifacts that enhance skills, etc.
Silver ring with a small ruby and delicate etching in the band & another one that matches it but is a man's size and has a sapphire instead of ruby- Inscribed inside the band of the one with the ruby it says 'My heart beats only for you, my love.' and in the sapphire set ring is says 'You have my heart and I'll always have your back.' (These are almost never seen, sitting on the Hunter's Necklace so they're buried deep in her fur.)
Biography:
On July 13th 1984 a black wolf anthro baby came into the world, her cries loud and persistent. But when the doctor handed her to her mother who looked down adoringly at her child, along with her father, the child quieted. Despite being blind and deaf at birth like most anthros, she seemed to know who it was that held her. Even happy the baby squirmed about, trying to feel about, evoking laughter from her parents. They would choose the names Higure Fushi for her, welcoming her into their family..
Higure was the couple's first child, although they did want to have more along the line. They dreamed of a large happy family altogether. Unfortunately for them they would have problems with becoming pregnant, with no real idea why. So in case Higure was to be their only one they did everything they could to show just how much they loved her. Having a lot to share, they spoiled her from the day she came home with toys, clothing, anything they could get. They weren't rich, but they were well off enough that it wouldn't take long for them to save up for the more expensive of items. And of course as Higure grew they wanted to put her in as many lessons as possible.
Around the time that Higure turned 6 years old, her parents were able to conceive finally. It was something they celebrated happily and even little Higure got caught up in their joy, looking forward to gaining siblings. Yes, siblings. This time her mother was going to have a small litter of 3 pups. They were overjoyed with their dream of a big family coming true. And things seemed to be going well in the pregnancy, the babies were developing on schedule and were healthy. Time passed quickly as they approached the due date and the excitement was building. But the ending to their family dream came much quicker... Just days before she was to give birth Higure's mother would have an accident... Despite warnings from the doctor for her to take it easy, she had just been too excited to sit around doing nothing. So in preparation for the arrival of the triplets she decided to take up a basket of baby clothing and bedding to the room, figuring it was light and thus no problems. However, they lived in a two story home with the bedrooms on the top floor. And although normally there wouldn't have been a problem it was a simple twist of fate that caused the accident. As her mother had climbed the stairs, she'd nearly be at the top when one of the babies kicked, surprising her, making her jostle the basket slightly. One of the pieces of clothing fell down on the stair in front of her. Now normally this wouldn't have been hard for her to reach, but since she was about to have the pups soon, one could imagine how large she'd become. Bending down to pick up the clothing, she had to slightly stretch harder. This put her off balance and when she tried to stand up again she started to tilt backwards, and even though she reached for the railing it'd be too late as she ended up falling, rolling down the stairs.
Thankfully it wouldn't be too long before little Higure found her mother at the bottom of the stairs, and frightened by the blood she called 911 as she'd been shown to do so. The father having been at work when her fall happened. When Higure's mother reached the hospital they would be told it was good she'd been taken care of so quickly otherwise things could have been much worse. She wasn't too badly hurt herself, but the babies were another thing. The doctors weren't sure if even one would make it alive because they wouldn't even get a chance to do any exams. She went into labor days early and they had to rush to try and get the pups out alive.
After hours of painful labor, the triplets would be born. But things weren't good, all three of them were not in good health because of the fall and had to be placed in incubators to survive. The doctors did everything humanly possible to save them. In the end it just wouldn't be enough, and 2 of the 3 pups died, never able to be held by their mother. Doctors thought perhaps the one that did survive had been cushioned by the other two and that was why they survived when the other two didn't. Although the danger didn't pass for a good while, the pup having to stay in the hospital for a month before they were well enough to leave.
During the long time her mother and baby siblings were in the hospital Higure would often visit, staying by her mother's side until she fell asleep and then she'd go to the ward where the babies were kept. She'd spend hours there, talking to them even though she didn't know if they understood or could even hear her. Higure asked them to try and hold on to make it because mommy and daddy wanted a big family and everyone would be so happy if they did. Higure didn't want her parents to be sad after all, and she'd be sad too because she was looking forward to being their big sister. The death of two of the three affected Higure pretty badly, having to deal with death at such a young age. At times it would be near impossible to get Higure to leave the side of her remaining sibling, insisting that she had to always be near just in case. When asked, just in case of what, she couldn't answer, she just knew she had to be there to stop anything bad from happening. And even during this time the doctors encouraged her parents not to even think of names because the survival rate was so low, they wouldn't even tell them the gender to spare them the heart ache if the baby didn't recover.
While everyone was still hurting over the loss of the two, the day they were told they could take the baby home was a joyous occasion. Even though the pup was still a little on the weak side, their recovery was going quickly. And so finally they would find out the surviving baby was a girl. Higure was so happy to have a baby sister at last, knowing she was getting stronger and would be able to grow up. The nursery was quickly changed for just one in order for the memory of their loss to not haunt them.
The two girls would be treated like princess and despite the gap in their ages, Higure wouldn't ever tire of her baby sister. In fact she would end up becoming fiercely protective of her and wouldn't let anyone hurt her. Even though she'd become healthy her little sister always was a little on the weak side, tiring easily. It wasn't too bad, but of course it didn't matter with other children, using any excuse to be mean to their peers.
Although their parents were still happy to have their children, their father would be disappointed that they hadn't had a boy. And they were advised not to try for at least awhile due to the damage that had happened to their mother's womb when she'd fallen. Because of this Higure's father started encouraging Higure into as many masculine things as possible... perhaps to make up for not having had a boy. Anyways, the years passed fairly well, Higure being enrolled in many different classes, some fighting ones like martial arts and others including gymnast's classes. Her little sister followed her everywhere and so were in younger classes if possible.
It was during Higure's 16th year their happy family ceased to exist... Of course she was in high school, and interested in boys. She wasn't exactly rebellious in general, but Higure did tend to get into her share of trouble, especially when she began befriending people older then herself. The entire reason she had wanted to though was because of a certain wolf anthro who was 18. Higure looked up to him and adored him and thought she was in love with him. And eventually she would be granted her wish, he'd turn his attention her way and soon they would begin dating. Things seemed good between them, he didn't push her for anything more then she was willing to do and he treated her well. And her family liked him, despite the age difference. At least it seemed so, but after a month he began to get more demanding and if she didn't listen he'd be cruel to her, doing abusive things that weren't quite enough to be seen as such. Pulling her tail, insulting her clothes if it didn't show enough, talking about other girls in front of her and mentioning how they would put out if they had him as a boyfriend. So one night Higure would finally give up her virginity to him, desperate not to lose him. The experience wasn't what one would call great for her, as he was only interested in his own pleasure.
Even worse would be the fact that little did anybody know, her boyfriend was a vampire. To add insult to injury after he'd had his way with her, he would brag about how he'd been doing girls on the side the entire time because Higure had been such a prude. Had she known what he was it would be possible Higure wouldn't have done what she did next, but besides not knowing she would be furious at him and lashed out and kicked him as hard as she could in the crotch. Seeing as he was naked, it wasn't hard for her to land it perfectly, and she didn't exactly know her strength considering all the classes she took. He'd fall to the floor writhing in pain of course, even supernatural creatures feeling pain in such a sensitive area when struck so hard, but as soon as he recovered he would show his true nature. Pissed off at her kicking him he pinned her to the bed and tearing into her neck he began to drain her of her blood. He fully intended on killing her, draining her dry. But her little sister's room was right next door and for whatever reason she would be woken up by some sound in Higure's room. Worried about her big sister she came in to find herself witnessing a vampire intent on killing her sibling. Only 10 years old and she didn't run or cower, but instead did the opposite. Picking up the heaviest thing she could she attacked him, hitting him with it to try and knock him out...The attack only made him turn his focus on Higure's little sister, thinking Higure too weak from blood loss to retaliate and it didn't take him long before he had hold of her.
Higure was much weaker then normal because of him, but he underestimated her resolve to save her sister, managing to summon up the strength to leave her bed and begin to throw things at him. It didn't faze him one bit as he took hold of her sister and sunk his fangs into her, his grip painfully tight on her. Of course that left the 10 years old crying for help. With a last burst of strength she picked up a large, heavy decorative item and smashed it on the back of his head. Finally it would work and he collapsed unconcious to the ground, dropping her sister. Higure would reach her sister's side as their parents burst into the room after hearing the sounds of things breaking and such, barely able to keep herself awake. To everyone's horror it was clear her sister was dying, having a smaller body with less blood and already having a weaker consitution. Their parents desperately didn't want to lose her and neither did Higure. In fact Higure blamed herself for what had happened, she was the one that was supposed to protect her sister, not be the one to bring in something that would hurt her!
Although they did call 911 to get help it was clear that the youngest girl wasn't going to make it by the time the ambulance arrived. Higure made a decision then and there, remembering the legends of how vampires could turn mortals by giving their blood after nearly draining them. While he was unconcious still she would bite down and rip open his wrist before placing the bloody opening to her sister's mouth and told her to drink. And drink she did... she would take every last drop of the vampire's blood, surviving to be even healthier then she'd been before she was attacked. The vampire of course died from blood loss.
At the time Higure had had no particular feelings towards vampires either then the thought they had some great abilities. But now she didn't like them very much, because of being attacked. Of course that didn't apply to her sister since she'd been turned only to save her life. Things became strained afterwards, their story to the police that he'd attacked them and they'd accidentally killed him in defense of themselves. With nothing to thing otherwise it was dropped. But at home everything was tense. Now that her baby sister was a vampire, she couldn't go to school to avoid the sun until she was strong enough for it, and they had to figure out a way to get her blood. So their parents told the school she was being taken out of school because of a serious disease that it'd be better off if she stayed home until better. No one blamed Higure for it either, none of them having known that there was something wrong with him until late, at least no one but Higure herself.
At first things worked out ok, for a few days. But in the end animal blood just would not do for keeping bloodlust from being triggered. Higure was out getting blood for her sister to drink, when at home her father cut open his hand badly, mostly superficial but he was bleeding a lot. It set off their youngest and as the vampire bloodlust possessed her, she killed and drained her parents of blood. By the time Higure arrived home, she was too late, finding her sister weeping beside their parent's bodies. Higure knew what had happened, although she didn't blame her sister for something she couldn't control, so her self loathing grew. They tried to hide the evidence of the attack and tried reporting their parent's missing so they could stay together. And things would have worked had another vampire not came looking. He wanted to take Higure's sister as his apprentice and train her in vampire ways since she was a fledgling, but both Higure and sister denied him. As usual, the vampire didn't take it well and killed Higure's sister and left Higure barely alive. Again she would only survive and recover by sheer will alone... but this time no one was left. Higure was on her own. And her dislike for vampires had grown into hatred.
By the time it all came to an end and Higure was recovered enough to leave the hospital on her own, her 18th birthdays had passed. She had no family, hadn't finished school and nowhere to go. And it was all to blame because of vampires. She wanted revenge, and started seeking out hunters and the like. Nearby to the city Higure had grown up in was a small village that was not often visited and fairly isolated, and she'd chance across the information about the village training Slayers. She immediately set out for the place, finding it after a week and a half of making her way by foot and surviving with only her clothes, a kitchen knife, map and some food.
When she got to the village the actual source of the rumors, it wasn't exactly the easiest to get anyone to admit to it. After all, if enough vampires found out about the place they would be attacked. At the end of her second week after leaving the hospital she was able to find the people she wanted, catching them in the middle of training so there could be no denial. Once she'd relayed her story to the head of the small clan, she would be accepted. They were impressed with her resourcefulness and will to survive. She was welcomed then into their 'family'.
Higure spent the next two years training relentlessly, surpassing many as she developed her skills, her classes earlier in life giving her an advantage. In fact once she'd completed all possible training they had, Higure was seen as the topmost student. She was the most skilled of Slayer's that had been seen in a long while. The Master of the Slayer clan decided she was the most worthy of her generation to possess the sword that had been passed from Slayer to Slayer to fight against the undead. Of course she had to train with it in order to learn how to use it as best as possible, which was what would take the last half a year up.
Her training as usual went great, and things seemed to be going good for Higure in finding happiness again. During training Higure and one of the male Slayers took a liking to each other and got together. Once both of their training was completed and the Slayer rituals were done they left together and after taking out every vampire they could find in Higure's hometown they wandered from city to city. And they made a brilliant team, rarely having trouble with any undead they found, and gaining infamy in the undead world.
2 years passed they travelled happily together, and on their 2nd anniversary he would propose to Higure. Of course she would say yes, and they set the date for getting married on their 3rd anniversary during the month of August. Despite living a life of danger, Higure had found some happiness and she was determined to never let it go. Over the next year before their wedding date they began to talk of starting a family. They both knew it was insanely dangerous to have children living a life like their's, so they narrowed their choices down. While they were hunting undead they wouldn't have children, but when they wanted to they would leave the life behind to start a family. But it would seem their choice would be made for them, when they'd find out that Higure was pregnant, 4 months before the wedding. Although it was completely unexpected they weren't unhappy either. They would just be quitting sooner then they originally thought. And so after wrapping up anything they had left to do, they tried to leave behind their lives as Slayers.
The wedding, small with only a few friends in attendance came and went and after going on their honeymoon in Australia, they decided to settle down in a small peaceful city, almost out in the boonies. Higure's due date was for December, and now that they were no longer hunting she'd contacted the clan leader to return the Slayer's sword. It had been arranged to be picked up after the holidays, which was fine with her. Higure had wanted to keep the sword but knew it was important to the fight against the undead.
Higure was 24 and happily married, and expecting when December arrived. It seemed like the perfect weather for the season, the snow being neither too light nor heavy. And on the day that fate struck a most terrible blow against her it was beautiful out with pure white snow covering the ground and fringing the trees. About 2 weeks before she was due the two of them were out frolicking in the snow, Higure's husband constantly telling her to take it easy. Of course the stubborn wolf girl refused too since she was healthy and strong enough to play around.
The sun had just set and they were about to head back inside to warm up when the vampire appeared. Normally only one vampire wouldn't have provided much trouble even at the vamp's age that it was. But they had been retired for around 7 months already, and all of their weapons were stored inside. Even all of Higure's artifacts. And Higure was almost 9 months pregnant to the day. When trying to remember the day it happened, Higure would only be able to describe things as a blur. Higure was the closest to the house when he'd appeared, and announced that he was there to take out the infamous pair of hunters. He didn't care that they were retired, their deaths were just to gain bragging rights.
Higure was obviously the best target to start with, so the vamp did while she struggled to get into the house to get to a weapon. But even though she was still in good health and strength, she was slowed down majorly. The vampire reached her when she was in front of the porch, and slammed hard into her, sending her flying through the porch railing and through one of the front windows, glass shattering around her. Even though one of the first rules they were taught when training to hunt was to never, never take on a vampire with just your bare hands since they were stronger and faster, her husband did just that as he tackled the vampire when he'd gone to follow after Higure. His emotions got the better of him, so instead of getting a weapon first he tried to get one after engaging with the vamp. He'd fight valiantly and passionately, almost actually staking the vampire but instead he'd be killed, his blood splattered all over the snow they'd just been playing in.
Of course he went after Higure next, but she hadn't just waited. Covered in bloody cuts from the shattered glass and near crippling pain was surging through her stomach she got to her hands and knees, crawling through the glass to where the sword lay against the wall next to their fire place. So as the vampire crashed through her front door she was standing, gripping the sword in her hands. Higure knew she would most likely die, and that her husband was dead but she was determined to take the vampire with her. The fight didn't last long from there, the sword having one last charge of energy able to stun him and she used that without hesitation. Of course while he was stunned she made her way over to him, nearly passing out several times, before she used the sword to behead him.
Next thing she remembered was sitting in the snow, cradling her husband's dead body in her arms, with blood everywhere from him and from her. She was bleeding badly. Evidently she had called 911 at some point after beheading the vampire so help would arrive before she herself died, but when they got there she was completely hysterical with grief. Higure still doesn't remember how they eventually got her husband away from her and got her to the hospital, only knowing that when she woke up again she was restrained and it was over 2 weeks since everything had happened. They'd needed to sedate her and from there she slept for 2 weeks because of how badly she was injured. And they'd need to sedate her again after they broke the news to her, that her baby was dead due to the beating she'd recieved. The next few months were hazy to her as she dealt with her grief while healing and inbetween being sedated when she went off. But eventually she'd again reach a point where she was no longer a danger to anyone, 2 months before she was to turn 25.
As soon as she was told she was good to leave Higure disappeared, picked up her weapons and went on a killing spree of the undead. By the time she stopped she had destroyed several covens of vampires and quite a few zombies and some other undead. And she only stopped because there were no more in the area she was living. That was when she'd hear of how badly infested Tokyo was, so that was where she headed next, taking out any undead she came across on the way.
Eventually Higure decided to form a Hunter Group due to the numbers about the city, and to unite hunters to be able to work together. Currently they don't have many part of the group because not many are willing to take on those who should have remained dead. But about a year previous, Higure had come across an injured priest when she was hunting vampires that had attacked a church. She of course helped the coon anthro out by saving him from death and seeing his potential invited him to the group. The two of them have been working together a year now, Higure sometimes wondering if there was no end to the vile creatures that she had sworn to eradicate from existence or die trying.
